INTRODUCTION

Takshashila Prabodhini has taken up the task of setting up GURUKUL’s across the country that will be focused on solving these challenges in villages and cities in a time bound and focused manner. A GURUKUL in the yesteryear’s was a residential school where students across diverse socio economic levels would spend their formative years in an environment of education. This environment was carefully tailored through its curriculum and the teachers helped students live their leanings and earn the crucial capabilities along with building a national character. In yesteryear’s this was possible as students were sent out  for education, however with changing times schooling have become excessively local and the home environment is not always uniform and conducive to encouraging children live their learning.
