Empowering India's Future: GYA-ANN Daan

At Takshashila Prabodhini, we firmly believe that the true progress of our nation lies in providing our children with the pillars of education, values, and nourishment.
Through our transformative GYA-ANN Daan initiatives, we have taken a significant stride towards reaching the inaccessible, underprivileged and socio-economically weak regions of Navi-Mumbai and ensuring that they have access to quality nutrition.
Through this mission we are trying to blend food with education i.e Gyaan and Ann.

Our Takshashila Volunteers visit socio-economically weak and inaccessible localities around Navi Mumbai. They meet with the families and kids from these areas, teach them basic (maths, science, languages,) make them recite stories and poems and play with them. Post which the food distribution (Anna dan) takes place. On an average , food is distributed to 100+ people on each visit. Below are glimpses and anecdotes from this activity:

Banjar Pada, Digha

Here along with the kids, we met some elderly people who were overwhelmed to see us. They  said food is brahma and providing it to the needy is a practice that should be followed everywhere. They showered us with blessings and requested us to visit regularly.

Pardhi Pada, Mahape

At pardhi pada, there was no electricity where we set up our food distribution camp. There was a garage nearby and their workers helped  us set up there. People in the area were very helpful and the anna dan was successfully conducted.

Sulai Pada, Rabale

Played with the children, taught them tables and had a gk quiz. They gace us Jungle vegetables and berries to take home as a gift and asked us to come play with them again.

Mahatma Fule Nagar, Dighe

Taught the children basic addition and subtraction. We danced and played with the children in the Rain. We had our dinner there along with the kids. It was a wonderful experience.
